Current Obsession: January 2012

Decided to make some sort of a "to-buy" well, um, maybe "things-that-I-would-definetly-buy-if-I-have-enough-money" which is inspired by Floralist!

Katy in Jakarta!

Went to Katy Perry's concert on 19th January 2012 with my sisters, cousin, and my dad. My parents told me that I was going to the concert in the morning of the concert, so I spent the day staring at the clock and waiting for the bell to ring all day long! As soon as I got home, we went straight to Sentul International Convention Center. So here's some pictures that me and my dad took.
The crowd!
DJ Skeet Skeet!
Teenage Dream!
Peacock!
Circle the Drain!
E.T. (I loved the lasers!)
Not Like the Movies. (There were some movies projected onto that big white screen behind Katy)
The One that Got Away. (I almost cried here! It was very emotional,
especially when Katy showed her tattoo)
Fireworks! (With real fireworks!)
And last but certainly not least... Katy sang California Gurls to the whole crowd for the ending!

Here's the setlist:
  1. Teenage Dream
  2. Hummingbird Heartbeat
  3. Waking Up in Vegas
  4. Ur So Gay
  5. Peacock
  6. I Kissed a Girl
  7. Circle the Drain
  8. E.T.
  9. Not Like the Movies
  10. The One that Got Away
  11. Hot n Cold
  12. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F)
  13. Fireworks
  14. California Gurls

After the show, we bought t-shirts and then we went home at about 11 PM, but arrived home at about 2 AM.

Colors

Went to the fabric store yesterday, and bought lots of new fabrics and materials for some new pieces which are hopefully going to be released this February! (Alcea Rosea)  Here's some pictures that I took:

Sketch Sketch Sketch

I've been spending my afternoons with sketching and drawing in my mood-book for these couple of days. And I have found my new obsession! Writing song lyrics with block letters in a piece of paper and not trying to erase things, and I actually really like those wiggly, not-so-neat strokes! And I have three projects that I have to do by next month: Two paintings of a view, which is a school project (Planning to paint the Santorini and SoHo!), and a big, 50 x 60 or 60 x 70 painting of my favorite lyric!

And I've been designing some new pieces for Alcea Rosea, but next Sunday we are going to have a meeting and talk about some new pieces, plus, make some new bracelets that you will be able to order by Monday! Wish us luck! x
Kim Carnes' Bette Davis Eyes, one of my favorite song ever!
Some glimpse of hopefully upcoming pieces of Alcea Rosea! Stay tuned! :-)

Not-So-Ordinary Markers

Designed by Lauren Mae Oswald. Definetly putting these markers on my wish-list.

예쁜

Developed an obsession towards South Korea since a few months ago. So I spent the last months of 2011 watching korean reality shows, learning hangul, and eating Korean food. Not so long ago, I noticed two of the world's most beautiful girls photographed strutting up and down the runway. Their name: So Young Kang and Hyoni Kang.

2nd Semester

The second semester started yesterday, and yes my holiday is over. My first and second day of the second semester wasn't really that bad, I mean, I had lots of laughs and lots of catching up with my friends who I haven't seen for weeks. And I am currently very busy because of homeworks and stuff, so I won't be posting as often as before, but I'll try to update as much as I can! :-)

56

Spent the day playing and taking pictures with my two little sisters, and then off to dinner with my family. The weather was a bit windy and cold yesterday, which is utterly rare if you're from Jakarta, Indonesia. So I decided to wear my varsity jacket, which the last time I wore it was in June.
H&M varsity jacket, Alcea Rosea black sheer shirt, Pull and Bear blue jeans, Beverly Feldman flats.
