Karla Spetic SS12/13

I loved the entire idea of combining the masculinity of some pieces and the innocent pastel colors. I specially loved the variation of the materials that were used for this collection. The organzas, the pretty flower patterns, and also the crochets. The entire thing reminded me of those pretty flower patterns on quilts and fresh lemon, lime, and raspberry sorbets. I recently looked up Karla's previous works, turned out she's the genius behind the famous street skirt on Tumblr. Click here to see the skirt. So I'm looking forward for her upcoming collections.

Pictures above are all from here.

P.S. Sorry about my lack of posts lately. I just graduated (Yay me!), so I'm on a summer break.

Prabal Gurung Spring 2012

First of all, this entire collection is absolutely stunning and all the colors are breathtaking. From the purples, to the violets, to the turquoises, etc. There were lots of different materials too, but the thing that instantly caught my eye were the patterns. It's like mixing purple, white, grey, and turquoise acrylic paint and adding delicate flower petals. My favorite is the long dress that has some sort of a sheer bottom with beautiful detailing which looked like flowers to me on the ending of the dress.

Current Obsession: June 2012

Clockwise from left: Ombre Sequin Dress by Topshop, Nails by Topshop in Beam, 4 Cities by Taschen (The books I've been obsessing over for the past year and haven't picked it up yet because it's expensive and I don't really need it but the graphics are just so amazing), Maddie Eva Sole Suede Brogues by Topshop.

P.S: Yes, I know the collage above turned like a princess-y slash pinkish-y theme.
