#100happydays (13/100)

Indi told me about this challenge where we're supposedly post a picture per day of the thing that makes us happy in that certain day. Sort of skeptical about it and I obviously doubt myself since I've taken like at least ten challenges like those in Tumblr for the past three years, but today is the fourteenth day and I've actually been enjoying this challenge if I do say so myself.

"We live in times when super-busy schedules have become something to boast about. While the speed of life increases, there is less and less time to enjoy the moment that you are in, the ability to appreciate the moment, the environment and yourself in it, is the base for the bridge towards long term happiness of any human being. 71% of people tried to complete this challenge, but failed quoting lack of time as the main reason. These people simply did not have time to be happy. Do you?"

As stated on their website, they aim to make people realize of how the teeny-tiniest things in life really matters, like that perfectly blended caramel frappuccino with that perfect amount of whipped cream that barista made for you sometimes can even be better than that top you splurged your allowance on when you didn't really like it, just because your friends are all wearing it. You can't deny the fact that you've done it, you know, knowing that by buying that certain thing did not make yourself 100% happy, but you're "happy" that you now have that same thing like everybody, or you're "happy" cause you'll be able to brag about it to your friends while they tell you how "cool" it is.

I watched About Time a few months ago, which is: A) One of the rom-com movies staring none other than Rachel McAdams, and B) One of the movies that made me bawl my eyes out for a good fifteen minutes. If you haven't seen it, then you probably should watch it because you're already missing out one of those really touching and heart-felt movies which you can easily relate to. I won't go out and spoil the ending for you or whatever, but I'm going to tell you what I learned after watching it. So on the last scene, the main character had to go through a really bad day and everything didn't go out like he planned it to be. Then he rewind the day (Might as well tell you that there is a bit of sci-fi in it, but still really relatable). Then he started living the day happily, and basically focusing on the good things that's happening and the little things that made him smile, rather than to be sad about the bad things. So basically what I learned is that everyday, every single day we're going to face, just be thankful and happy about it. Really, I mean like don't let it get to you. Think about Mr. Chow saying "But did you die?" to your face when you start to be sad about your day that probably isn't going so well for you. That does the trick for me. So for thirteen days and counting, I've been more than thankful for all the seconds that I have. No matter how bad it is going, eventually I'd find something that made me happy.

Windi was in town and it was Rani's birthday, so we decided to surprise her! Then on Friday we went to have a little lunch at Colony 6, and watched American Hustler to end our day. It has been a reaaaaally long time since we all gather together and just basically laugh our heads off.

Meet Rosie!

Meet Rosie, which is supposed to be Rosemary but we ended up calling her Rosie. She's a doberman x beagle.

OverWHELmed HahA

Ok. The amount of stuff that I have to work on and get done already is literally, without a doubt impossible. I know I shouldn't say impossible cause that means I'm whining and I don't want to whine but seriOUSLY it's probably toooooooo much. I know I should just stop procrastinating and just do all of those tasks already and be done with it so I can finally enjoy each day and MAYBe breathe once in a while since I haven't really got the time to even just take a single breath.

Enjoy this lovely picture of my bb Cole Mohr;
and I either am going to continue my work or probably just Google more picture of Cole.

Happy new year everyone! Better late than never rightttt so basically there are loads of stuffs that I wrote down as my so-called-new-year-2013-resolution which I probably done some of them and I forgot the rest of it. (Ha.)

What I did?
I prayed more, ate more, exercised more, hung out more, got a little more productive than the year before, and basically 2013 wasn't that bad for me. I mean I know almost everyone hates 2013, I don't even know why, but for me 2013 was sort of great. There were a few ups and downs, obviously, and yes I did sort of gave up but I did got back up. A few times actually! But I'm very blessed to be surrounded with the people I love who basically are the reason why I'm happy most of the time in 2013.

What I didn't do?
All I can say is I spent many moments of 2013 being sad and/or unhappy, but then again I realized that the situation that made me like that didn't really matter, so the thing is that I spent loads of time thinking about and worrying about the things that doesn't even matter, which eventually made me forget about the more important things and the things that truly makes me happy.

What I learned?
I learned that anything can go wrong in a blink of an eye, people change, things change, and the most important thing, you change. What matters the most is the things that makes you happy, I'm gonna say YOLO but I don't really want to sound like a douche for saying that, so basically you can never please everyone. Live your life the way you want to live, make mistakes, take risks, and literally, the most important thing that I learned is that find happiness in the littlest and simplest things and make every moment the best of it.

Hope this year is going to turn out even greater than the year before, and may all of you have a happy new year!
